Going towards what you see

You wake up and start turning pages in the newspaper, and you come across a picture of a cottage for rent.  It's up in the mountains and you have no idea how to get there.  You call the number or send an email, and you get all the details on how to arrive up to that beautiful relaxing cottage for the long weekend.
Life is a long journey up to the cottage, well at least it should be.  Most people travel around day to day not knowing exactly where they are headed in life.  Their main vision is to make it Monday to Friday so they can have Saturday off and Sunday to complain about starting the week all over again.

This should be the main idea, get a great picture in your head then figure out the direction on how to get there in life.  Some visions are just getting to 5pm so we can watch T.V.  Then some are bigger!  Being a business owner, travelling around the world and other want to cure the sick.  That last few examples defiantly take extra work, but think of the pay off when their goals and visions are reached.  I said once their goals are reached, yet this is the wrong thing to say.  Of course once you achieve a huge, massive and incredible goal things change but.....The person you become on the way to achievement can be something that is worth it too.  This is where personal development comes in.  Reading and listening to ideas and methods on how to change your thinking and daily habits.  There's a quote that says "You can't solve problems with the same level of thinking as when you created them"-Einstein
Unless you take the time to actually work on your visions and goals, you probably aren't going to go anywhere.  That seems harsh, what I should have said is you will be less likely to have regrets in the future.

Today or sometime later this week, find your:
Picture of a cottage    -       Get the directions           -      And then start driving
(A vision)                 (How to get towards your goal)     (Work towards that vision)

Remember, the more road stops you stop at will only slow you down.  There will be so many distractions along the way but it's how badly you want to get to that destination that determines the speed to which your reach your goal or vision.
Next time your sitting on the couch watching T.V. ask yourself  "Am I getting closer to where I want to go?"
Of course you will have days where you sleep, eats junk food and waste a whole day.  As long as you can admit it to yourself, and get yourself going the very next day you'll be alright.  Please don't make it habit of being lazy and procrastinating.

Now instead of finishing this blog and asking yourself what your going to do once the goal is reached, just start trying to figure out your BIG goals to reach for, then get started.

Stay motivated
Shane C.
